Logs can be cut from end to end to produce striking feature timber slabs. Slabs reveal the natural contours of the tree and show unique grain features of the timber. Often, we use non-structural logs as slabs
They are great for statement pieces such as dining tables, coffee tables, desks, kitchen Benchtops, bathroom vanities, and other furniture.
Many eucalyptus species: blackbutt, spotted gum, Sydney blue gum, as well as exotic woods: camphor laurel, himalayan cedar, English oak, liquid amber, Norfolk Island pine
Slabs are cut through the machine, then stacked with stickers (thin timber strips), strapped and stored on level ground. They are left for 1-3 years to season. They are then machined flat again to remove any warping due to drying
We can cut almost any size of hardwood. Due to the versatility of our mills, large sizes are possible.
They are ideal for feature posts, firewood seating, beams, and sculpture mantles, and anything else you can think of.
Sydney blue gum, blackbutt, spotted gum, Ironbark, grey box, grey gum
